Hello, I’m Laura.

The purpose of this web journal is to perform a very special service and that is to come along side a family in their journey through international adoption.

My husband and I have 4 children together and currently live in Washington State where I grew up. See photos of us here

When I talk about motivation to help children abroad I will quote scripture. If that offends you, this is not the place for you.

Why Rescue Orphans? Because Jesus said so.

 

 

“Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, “Give them up!” and to the south, “Do not hold them back.” Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth”  Isaiah 43:5-6

 

 

I have a photograph of Brattleboro Vermont because that is where we first were in a church that was deeply involved with orphan outreach. It planted a bug in our ear for the orphan crisis, despite our being oblivious to how important that would later be to us and to our children as they grow up.

God works and He’s not done with us yet.

I rejoice with you in your beginning the journey of adoption.

EDITORS NOTE: I plan to add “Guest Speakers” who will be other writers who bring new perspective. All are welcome except those with the message that you have to adopt to make a difference because that is not the perspective that I push. God gives us all the call to support orphans, but different degrees to which to do that.
